10 Ways to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

You know spring has almost sprung when green life peeks through blankets of white snow and talk of St. Patrick’s Day plans begin. The nine to five may seem more lively than usual, a sure sign that the leprechauns are on their way bearing pots of gold.

St. Patrick’s day is filled with old and new traditions, and for those awaiting some more new traditions, we want to share 10 ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with you!

  1. If you’re feeling juvenile in the office, wear green. When you pinch those that chose to try their luck of the Irish, they won’t be able to pinch back.

  2. Do some early spring gardening indoors with plans to transplant them to beds when it warms up! After all, this activity is green.

  1. Bake treats in the shape of shamrocks and pass them along to those in need. We like this recipe.

  2. Make your way downtown for these city-slicking activities.

  3. Give the green food a try! NYC offers a variety of local fares fit for a leprechaun.

  4. Throw a game night with friends! While there, serve all foods that are green.

  5. Search for gold at the end of a rainbow. We have a feeling it may be here.

  6. Try your luck at learning an Irish jig! We like this tutorial, but don’t be afraid to look around for one that better suits you.

  7. If you have kids, conduct a scavenger hunt!

  8. Go to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in NYC. Not only is it the largest parade for this holiday in the nation, it’s also the oldest!
