With the Select-Terrain® Traction Management System, you can tackle any type of landscape confidently.
Built for Any Road
Marked with the available Trail Rated® stamp of approval, the Cherokee will help you navigate nearly any driving condition with ease. In order to wear the Trail Rated® badge, the Jeep Cherokee must pass five different off-roading tests:
- Ground clearance
- Traction
- Water fording
- Articulation
- Maneuverability
You can tackle rocky terrains nearly effortlessly thanks to the Trail Rated® abilities. Navigating around obstacles and climbing over rocks are all possible, allowing your adventures to take you almost anywhere.
Plus, with the available 4X4 system, you'll have even more confidence behind the wheel. Maintaining traction regardless of condition is possible thanks to the Jeep® Active Drive 4x4 System. With this system, 4-wheel drive will automatically be enabled and will monitor your vehicle for slippage during certain driving conditions.
2020 Jeep Cherokee Safety Features
With over 80 standard and available safety features built into the 2020 Jeep Cherokee, you can feel confident behind the wheel no matter where you drive. Designed to be your virtual co-pilot, a series of cameras and sensors can help give a heads-up if the unforeseen happens.
Should you start to drift out of your lane, the available LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist will provide an audible and visual alert. If need be, it can help correct the position of your Cherokee, so you remain in your lane.
If your Jeep Cherokee detects that you're straying from your intended path, the standard Electronic Stability Control feature can step in. This automatic safety feature will work to correct over- and understeering, so you always remain in control.
