PERFORMANCE
Grand Wagoneer

From the power beneath the hood to off-roading capabilities, it’s important to know what kind of performance you expect from each SUV option. While both models are known for their power outputs and size, you’ll find some extra pizazz with the Grand Wagoneer.

Take It Off-Road

Both the Chevy and the Grand Wagoneer come with spectacular off-roading capabilities. In fact, the Grand Wagoneer comes with three available 4×4 drive systems and Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System. These make it easy to tackle mud, grass, snow, and more so your family can make memories anywhere.

In comparison, the Chevy Suburban comes with standard rear-wheel drive and Premium Smooth Ride suspension. However, to get improved performance you’ll have to opt for a higher trim. The Grand Wagoneer already starts off with solid off-roading features.

Power Outputs

You can expect tons of power from both the Chevy Suburban and the Grand Wagoneer. Both models are furnished with engines that pack a punch. The Suburban’s toughest engine is a 6.2L EcoTec V8 engine that achieves 420 horsepower with 460 lb-ft torque.

The Grand Wagoneer, on the other hand, is built with a 6.4L V8 engine that generates 470 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. If you want to upgrade, you can increase your output to 510 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque with the 3.0L Hurricane Twin-Turbo engine.

INTERIOR
Grand Wagoneer

As large SUVs, the Grand Wagoneer and the Suburban both offer quite a bit of room for your passengers to stretch out. Add in the premium amenities of each model and you’re set for your next adventure. The question is, which model can enhance your drive most?

Upgrading Your Cabin

The luxurious design of the Grand Wagoneer is hard to beat. Not only can you get available quilted Palermo leather trim and suede on the seats, but you can select 20-way adjustable power seats with massage and memory capability.

When you’re sitting in a Grand Wagoneer, you won’t just feel like a passenger, you’ll feel like royalty. The Chevy Suburban does offer upgraded seating designs, but you’ll only get 10-way power seats. While they can be upgraded to adjust in 12 ways, they don’t offer the same customization options as the Grand Wagoneer does.

High-Tech Infotainment

When it comes to infotainment, both SUVs come with multiple screens to interact with. The Suburban has a standard 8-inch infotainment screen, which can be upgraded on higher trims. This will then give you a 10.2-inch diagonal Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium System.

While this is impressive, the Grand Wagoneer takes it up a notch with a standard Uconnect® 5 Nav system with a 12-inch touchscreen display. This will make it easier to keep an eye on your directions, audio, and more.

SAFETY
Grand Wagoneer

Chances are, more often than not, you’ll be driving with passengers. Whether that means commutes to work and school, dinner with friends, or family road trips, it’s important to make sure everyone in the vehicle will be as safe as possible.

Safety That Comes Standard

The Grand Wagoneer and the Chevy Suburban are both dedicated to keeping drivers and passengers safe. Each model is equipped with standard safety features like:

  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Front & Rear Park Assist
  • Automatic Emergency Braking

This lays a good safety foundation for drivers, but the Grand Wagoneer goes much further to protect your loved ones with 120 standard and available security features.

Improve Your Safety

The Grand Wagoneer will help you be aware of all your surroundings with the 360-degree Surround View Camera, Blind-Spot and Rear Cross-Path Detection. While similar features are available with the Suburban, they only come standard on the Grand Wagoneer.

Additionally, this model has an available Night Vision Camera with Pedestrian and Animal Detection to help you stay in control even in low lighting. Another available safety feature is the Intersection Collision Assist System. You won’t find any features like these in the Suburban.
