The 2019 Ram 1500 towing capacity is 12,750 pounds when properly equipped, however, different engines are going to give you different hauling capabilities.

The Ram 1500 makes three different engines available, both of which offer plenty of power and torque to help you get the job done:

What is eTorque?

As you can see, eTorque can make all the difference in how much you can tow in the Ram 1500, but what is eTorque? This innovative mild hybrid system utilizes a Li-Ion battery and a 12Kw motor to supplement acceleration. The result is improved power and capability without sacrificing efficiency.

Ram 1500 Payload and Cargo Management

While the 2019 Ram 1500 has the capability to tow a heavy trailer, it can also fit a lot of cargo in its cargo bed. Based on your needs, you can choose between a 5-foot, 7-inch box or a 6-foot, 4-inch box.

The 5-foot, 7-inch box can accommodate 53.9 cubic feet of cargo while the 6-foot, 4-inch box can carry 61.5 cubic feet. The latter box can also fit a full 8-by-10-foot sheet of building material.

To help you maximize the space in your bed, this pickup also features the available RamBox® Cargo Management System. These additional storage units are placed in the walls of the bed, above the rear wheels, so that they don't take up precious cargo bed space.

The RamBox® Cargo Management System is ideal for smaller items like refreshments, sporting equipment, or power tools. A 115-volt power outlet also allows you to power up your tools or electronics while on the worksite or tailgating before the big game.

When you're loading up, go ahead and pack heavy, because the Ram 1500 has a maximum payload capacity of 2,300 pounds when properly equipped.

Driver-Assist Technology with the 2019 1500

While neither you nor your truck are afraid of hard work, it's always nice to have some extra assistance to make your job that much easier. That's why the 2019 Ram 1500 offers several available technology features that can help lighten the load.

The available Blind Sport Monitoring system, for example, issues a visual alert if another car enters your side blind spot. This system accounts for the length of the trailer as well, while towing, so that you're more aware of when it is-or isn't-safe to merge on a crowded highway.

Available Keyless Enter 'n Go™ can also help when you're running late for work in the morning. As long as the key fob is on you, you can enter your car and start the ignition without having to dig for the key in your pocket or backpack.
